Stainless Steel Tongue Scraper

The tongue is one of the body’s several detoxification paths, keeping it clean is just as important as brushing one’s teeth. Using a tongue scraper is part of the daily routine that Ayurveda (the timeless ancient Indian science of life) has advised for over 5,000 years.  Tongue scraping is a fast way to remove debris and bacteria (the ones that cause bad breath), from the surface of your tongue. Debris, bacteria, and dead cells can build up on your tongue over time. This can lead to bad breath and have a negative impact on your overall oral health.

Regular tongue scrapping can:

  • Improve your sense of taste
  • Remove bacteria that causes bad breath
  • Support your oral health care by preventing decay and gum disease

Scrape your tongue first thing in the morning before brushing your teeth and then after meals.

How to Tongue Scrape:

  1. Stand in front of a mirror, open your mouth, and stick out your tongue.
  2. Gently set the rounded end of the tongue scraper to the back of your tongue.
  3. Gently touch the scraper to your tongue, slowly pulling it forward, toward the tip of your tongue.
  4. After each scrape, rinse to remove debris from the scraper.
  5. Repeat until you’ve scraped the entire surface of your tongue.
  6. Wash the tongue scraper with warm water and soap, dry, and store in a clean, dry area.

Be mindful of not putting too much pressure on your tongue, you want just enough to remove debris.
