For episode 16 of “Let’s Talk About..” I chat about Nutritional Psychology and the link between physical and mental health.
I want to delve into something close and personal to my heart and that is the research around nutritional psychology. My older sister experienced a psychotic episode a few years ago resulting in her being diagnosed with psychosis, depression and PTSD. She was quite heavily medicated to start with but over the last 4 years she has been working on getting well and is now on the lowest dose possible of anti-psychosis medication possible.  Angie (my sister) has just written a book about her experience and her journey to recovery – (download it here). It is an amazing organic fertiliser that helps improve soil microbiota and helps improve your plants immune system to fend off disease. And I share my favourite meditation techniques that help to calm down my noisy mind and get me back to sleep.

Bianca is an accredited practicing dietician, Founder of Bee Free Living & Co-Founder of Balanced Bellas.  Bianca shares her journey from one of eating disorders to severe illness to wellness. Bianca Maree is an accredited practicing dietitian who has been working within the health industry for 6 years as of November! Bianca initially started out wanting to become a dietitian after suffering from an eating disorder in her late teens, very early 20’s and wanted to inspire others – women especially – to heal their relationship with food.

The problem is deep and to me goes to the core of our responsibilities as humans. What are you doing? Are you doing anything? What if taking action on your personal food waste supported you to have a happier healthier life? Would you do something then?
